Jen Gurman – Sales Associate

Jen Gurman is part of the Essential Sales Team as an Essential Sales Associate. Jen brings over 20 years of community and customer care to our team. Jen comes to Essential with a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of our equipment, devices and accessories. Knowing what items are best suited to individual clients’ needs and possible modifications to the home are well within Jen’s realm. Jen's knowledge of our equipment makes her well versed in all areas of mobility, to better guide our clients to the items they require. From bathroom safety, patient lifts to power wheelchairs, and everything in between, our clients’ can count on Jen to provide the mobility and wellbeing devices they require.

Tori Gurman – Reception/Administration

Tori Gurman is our Front Desk Reception/Administrator here at Essential Mobility. Tori brings a wealth of knowledge with her from her past working as a PSW. Tori is our go to for all Rental items, as she is fully versed in the items that clients will require after surgeries, minor and major accidents and everything in between. Tori's outgoing nature makes her a value to our company as the first face you see upon entering our store. Any help you need, even if it is simply advise on next steps, items for your home or how long a rental is usually needed, she is more than happy to help and give her guidance. With each situation being unique, she is on top of making sure each client is taken care of.  

Allan Bates – Service Technician

Al Bates is Essential Mobility's Service Technician. With a natural mechanical ability and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, Al makes a great team member. He brings years of mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a genuine knack for figuring out how things work. Whether it's diagnosing an issue, tackling a repair, or finding a solution to a challenging problem, he enjoys getting hands-on and finding ways to get the job done right. His mechanical knowledge, practical mindset, and ability to think outside the box make him a natural fit for our service department. Al understands how important mobility equipment is to everyday life and takes pride in making sure each customer feels supported, confident, and well taken care of. His goal is to ensure every repair and service call is handled with care, attention, and a genuine commitment to getting things right.

Mackenzie Wells – Service Administrator

Mackenzie is Essential Mobility’s Service Administrator. Mackenzie brings years of customer service experience into her role with our clients and has grown tremendously within our team, starting in reception and working her way into the Service Administrator role. Along the way, Mackenzie has developed an impressive understanding of our service department, learning everything from parts and inventory to repairs and the day-to-day coordination that keeps things running smoothly. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Mackenzie has truly taken this role and run with it. Her willingness to learn, ask questions, get hands-on, and expand her knowledge has allowed her to become an integral part of our service team. Whether she's coordinating service needs, sourcing parts, assisting with repairs, or jumping in to complete hands-on work when needed, Mackenzie brings dedication, initiative, and a genuine desire to get the job done right. Mackenzie's growth is a reflection of her hard work and commitment, and we're proud to have someone who is always looking to learn more and do more for both our team and our customers.  

Natalie Williamson – Office Manager

Natalie Williamson is Essential Mobility’s Office Manager and brings approximately 20 years of operational and customer focused experience to the team. Natalie spent much of her career in the Health and Safety world and uses that knowledge to translate into the Essential Mobility world by making sure that all decisions made are going to keep our clients safe and comfortable. Natalie’s focus is on accounting as well as making sure that all staff is well trained in everything mobility, so that they can all provide top quality knowledge and information to each one of our clients.

We brought in a rollator walker to have the bearings replaced in one front wheel fork. Essential Mobility quickly found us the needed bearings and replaced them in just a few minutes in their store, without a labour charge. Very courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Thank you very much Pat.

It was a pleasure to deal with this company. I only needed a wheelchair for a few hours to take my aunt to the farmers market. The other places I called wanted a month to month lease. They not only helped me, but didn't take advantage of the situation to exploit my moment of need and gave me a good price. Good job.

I brought my mother-in-law’s older model scooter in for repairs. All the staff at Essential Mobility were super helpful. They tracked down the maker of the scooter and tested the batteries. They were able to pinpoint the issue and the scooter is working great.
